Louisedal Texel
was established in 1971 and is a member of the official data
recording under "Landsudvalget for Kvæg". It consists at the
moment of 36 breeding ewes. We have also 64 lovely lambs.
Most af the lambs are sold for breeding.
To obtain better lambs the animals are scanned and have
participated in performance testing.
The flock has
been tested free of maedi since 1988 and scrapie since 1997.
Animals for
export have been tested for Johne's disease ( both on blood
and faeces), border disease, salmonellosis, brucella ovis
and leptospiro hardjo.
We spend a lot
of time together with the animals, so they are very trustful
and tracktable.
Animals and
embryos have been exported to Norway, Sweden and England.
We have been on
the National Show in Herning twice. In 2002 we had the best
one year old ram. In 2006 we had number 3 and 4 in the class
of one year old rams. |
