Sporup Texel started 15 years ago, when some of the
best animals in the area were bought. The flock has
since then grown and today there are 25-30 breeding
ewes.
We want progress in the flock and have therefore
utilized different breeding techniques as A.I.,
genotyping, data recording etc.
Several animals have been exported to Sweden.
The flock is data recorded with "Dansk Kvæg",
scrapie tested, genotyped, maedi tested, and has
passed all relevant test for export. All lambs are
scanned for depth of muscles and fat.
Animals are shown at the National Show and if time
allows it we participate in other shows as well.
Many prizes have been won.
